jedimarine
Went looking for stuff like this...didn't find much. Asked about existing content...didn't get responses. Essentially what I'm looking for here is a re-spawning battlefield (or a couple in different environments) where you could enter the area, pick a side, join that army and do battle with the other. Doesn't have to be anything epic in scale for CPU reasons...10 vs 10...12 vs. 12? Heck, maybe even do "waves" of the enemy like the vanilla game does at the battle of Bruma. Guards vs. Daedra Legion vs. Orcs Nords vs. Dark Elves Guards vs. Marauders etc. Could be set up to end if you flee the field, so victory or death is not your only options. Have the field re-spawn...maybe have different armies randomly generate. Heck...you could even do something like this for an arena mod...have teams of gladiators instead of solo battles. Would love to ride out to Anvil to protect it against an army of pirates, or lead the guards of Leyawiin against a band of Argonian Shadowscales...help the Legion defend the IC bridge against a Daedric onslaught, or perhaps, join the Daedra and taking the bridge... Thoughts? kieranfoy
You mean you already posted a topic just like this? Just asking. As for the idea, most people prefer more plot, and less slaughter. Well, they don't like nothing BUT slaughter. Anyway, good luck.
Vagrant0
You could always do it yourself, learning the basics from a tutorial and then applying it to your own scenario.http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29571 You may not be able to have anything as epic as 10 vs 10 due to game limitations, but you and 3-4 NPCs vs continuous waves of as many as 8 opponents is certainly doable. jedimarine
You mean you already posted a topic just like this? Just asking. As for the idea, most people prefer more plot, and less slaughter. Well, they don't like nothing BUT slaughter. Anyway, good luck. Oh I prefer story too...but the adventuring can prove to be a bit monotonous over time. Adding Companions fixes it for a time, but then you are faced with a much easier game. Most quests and crawls aren't designed for you to be joined by 3 or 4 companions. A battlefield would provide for the ability to interact with characters going into battle, and then have a real battle with "relatively" even odds. If you want to add story...you could make the initial discovery of the battlefield(s) a quest, perhaps make certain NPC's survival a quest requirement. Perhaps you have to inspire your troops, or provide them equipment before battle. There are ever expanding depths this could go to, but it has to start with a battle. And yes, I will admit to a desire on occasion to march my tank of a character onto a field and lay waste...turn around and see my army cheering me as I loot. Call it a much needed change of pace.
