Nadin
How do I force the night sky texture to stretch instead of tile? I have an incredible night sky but it shows up as a bunch of mini versions in squares instead of...you know, the sky. And, yes, I have invalidated. edit: Nvmd fixed
Psythik
This is a top Google search for fallout 3 tiled sky. It would've been really nice if you posted the solution instead of just saying "fixed". Ass. Edit: Further research says to set my texture size to "Large" in the game settings, but it already is (graphics are maxed). Below's a screenshot. All I want is a realistic-looking night sky like the one in New Vegas' "Nevada Skies" mod. None exist, so I'm trying to make my own 2048x2048 texture (but 1024x1024 doesn't work either). http://i.imgur.com/vCBIm.jpg And here are my DDS settings (everything under the buttons are default):http://i.imgur.com/yqBFl.png Also, there's a black spot where the moon should be. Not sure if it's related. Edited April 25, 2012 by Psythik

Psythik
Really? Not a single person on here (or the entire internet, for that matter) knows how to make a proper sky mod for Fallout? Really? Edited June 1, 2012 by Psythik

If your textures aren't seamless, you're gonna get these results unfortunately. If you want, you can also set up an alpha channel to make the stars pop. You should check out this offset tutorial to help you in making your star texture seamless: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qbtybwo3XZc. Furthermore, unlike skyrim, fallout 3 doesn't support one imaged skybox textures, and that means you can't have a fancy galaxy or nebula peering in the sky. It also means Fallout is very limited to skybox accessories like shooting stars, auroras, planet orbits and constellations. Wait... What am I doing? Am I Really replying to a 3 year old thread... I must be mad, or desperate.
