TodaY
I'm working on this mod (Black-Rock Castle) which involves a hack 'n slash dungeon with ghosts, zombies and "ghost guards". The zombies and the ghosts go fine together - bff's for life, but everytime all the zombies & ghosts attack the guard... I know how to do the faction thing, they all have the same factions ect. Anyone an idea how to solve this?
Pineapplerum
When one of my companions attack me during a fight, I usually just surrender to them and most the time they'll leave me alone. I then go up to them and bribe them to like me again. Oh, I'm sorry, you're making the mod. Oops. I don't know. Sorry, tried to be helpful. thrillseeker3242
Do you know how to use AI settings? If so, disregard. NPC A will attack NPC B if A's Aggression value is higher than A's Disposition toward B. I often have problems with companions attacking non-hostile NPCs (their Aggression is too high), or standing there staring at me while I'm getting clobbered (their Aggression is 0). Or attacking me every time I accidentally nick them with an arrow (their Disposition toward me is too low). I can fix these problems in-game by adjusting the values with console commands. David Brasher
What kind of a guard do you have? If he is an Imperial Legionnaire, he will hate members of factions marked as evil (like ghosts and zombies,) and attack them on sight. The ghosts and zombies will attack members of any other non-aligned faction on sight if their own aggression is above around 0 or 5. For some reason, evil NPCs and creatures can have aggression of 100 and almost never fight among themselves. But if you give a nice NPC in town an aggression of 10 or 15, he or she will get in fights with other nice people and end up dead. Standard aggression to use for nice people and creatures is 5. Use any other number at your own risk.
thrillseeker3242
That's useful to know! I didn't know the specifics, so when I find my companions with their Aggression reset to 0 for some reason, I've been changing it to 30. They haven't been getting into fights TOO often...
