Importing files Nifskope/blender

...it's so confusing. Everyone keeps telling me to install different software. They want to know the driver set up and I have no clue. They assume I know how to pull up a mesh to install into the software. I'm afraid I'm going to mess something up if I try to install an Oblivion mesh into the software and where do I find the mesh I'm looking for anyway?

Can someone please just give me a link for a baby step tutorial from everything from getting the mesh you're looking for to install into the software that you'd like to install into Blender and what are the basic software supplies I'll need. I have Nifskope, gimp, blender,Pyffi, Gmax (almost-I'm still trying to figure out the driver setup), PaintshopPro 8, dds converter, BSA (I have no idea how to use it though), Tes4PluginUtility, and Tes Construction set. Do I need anything else? Maya_nif_plug in? Which one is my 3d software?

You don't have to explain, just tell me where to look. I don't know where to look. I've read the beginners guide on Wiki but I can't find where it teaches me how to get meshes and import them into Nifskope and Blender.

Thank you!!!!!!

Software: Blender Package (That page contains info how to install and a number of files have been added including to tell how to import/export (armor)) I'd recommend using those packages instead of all those separately downloaded versions as Blender has a way of working, it's a working combination. I'm not sure what you want to do with the maya-plugin. You'll need the maya program for that to use and that's just another 3d-program.

Blender and Nifskope both allow you to change the model. Blender is more CS-Like, Nifskope more data-like. You usually go into nifskope to edit the textur-paths or to modify the animations/nodes/collision/behavior as blender doesn't always export it the way you like. If you're simply changing textures you mostly don't even need blender, or not at all.

Tutorials:Blender Cs.elderscrolls-tutorials, Echo tutorials, adding textures.

Nifskope: Cs-wiki. BSA commander tutorial. For using OBMM you just can google,

Okay, I'm doing the BSA thing now and it tells me to go into my data file and select a BSA file. It seems every folder I go into is empty. There are no files in them. I don't know why the meshes aren't showing up but it happened to me in the Nifskope thingy too so I must be really um, a novice because I can't even get the stupid meshes, textures or anything to show up. Only one folder actually put something onto the BSA screen and that was from a mod I've recently downloaded and I really didn't want to use this person's meshes because I haven't gone through their mod yet in the game. If that makes any sense. Plus wouldn't manipulating someone elses textures and files cross a boundary you're not suppose to cross as a modder unless you have their permission? I guess that's just when you upload it for others to use?

My real question is...why aren't any of the folders filled with anything? I'll take a screen shot and show you...Why does it keep saying my file is too big to upload? It's just a screen shot. Dag, I can't do anything right.

Manipulating vanilla resources and modders resources can be uploaded freely when permission is given. If you're unsure or want to upload a resource used in a mod you should ask the author. If you're able you could just require the mod to be downloaded in order to work. BSA have to be unpacked. If done it'll probably do so to a folder called "out".
