ingapinga
Hello. I recently decided to play Oblivion again and installed the game and several mods. Everything runs fine as far as functionality, but I have a strange display issue on all of the NPCs. I encountered this once before a couple of years ago and somehow managed to fix it but don't remember what that fix was (too bad I didn't write down what I did!). The issue is this (picture at link) http://bayimg.com/AALaAaACI As you can see, the colouration seems rather askew on the NPCs. Some, like this one, are particularly bad to look at. Since I installed all my mods at the same time and only checked that the game functioned after each install, I am having difficulty finding the culprit. Since I had this issue before, I assume it isn't totally uncommon and someone might know what it is from. Here are the mods I have installed (again, a screenshot. too many to type). As you can see, I have disabled those that deal with body changes and still the issue persists. Nexus Set
I think the culprit would be the Head06 Replacer mod. Try enabling it and I think there's an OBSE plug-in included in the installation as well. Just read through the included documentation for installation procedures. The Head06 has a different UVW map from the default vanilla head meshes so textures for it won't match. That's probably why the NPCs look weird. ingapinga
Thanks. It was the head06 thingie in tandem with another of the face thingies that was creating the error. I ended up getting rid of the head06 one by deleting the files and not just deactivating it in the mod manager and things look better. Though, the NPCs don't look as nice as I remember them looking from the last time I dragged this game out a couple of years ago. Is there a recommended mod combo to have the nicest looking faces possible? I just went by what I could remember and a little bit of random luck in making my choices.
