ddeadmau5
I was searching for some info about TES 6 in case I missed any, but I didn't. Not a word about TES 6, BUT I stumbled upon this video So, there is not a chance in hell that I would play those first Elder Scrolls games, I barely put up with Morrowind, but look at what people wrote about Morrowind in the video, "good game" "best looking game ever" "certainly is going to put new standards for future RPGs" and stuff like that. Look at the today, 12 years later games look soooooooooo much more realistic and simply amazing but today no one is satisfied with graphics. I was thinking, it would be cool if Bethesda made a reboot of TES 2 and TES Redguard, what do you think? Edited July 15, 2014 by ddeadmau5
Oubliette
Those actually look a lot better than I was expecting, I really should take some time out and play them.
ddeadmau5
I strongly recommend Morrowind, great storyline, not t omention Oblivion.I spent years in Oblivion, thousands hours of gameplay when I was a kid. And Daggerfall is free on bethesda site but you have to download DOS emulator. Here's the link http://www.elderscrolls.com/daggerfall/
Lachdonin
Remaking Daggerfall to the standard of Skyrim, or even Oblivion, is implausible... It's something like 30,000 square kilometers in size, compared to skyrims 23. I do think the graphics issue is a persistent problem UN gamers today, born largely out of it being increasingly main stream (pets face it, the general public are ignorant, judgemental pricks socially programmed to WANT with no consodration of others... f*#@ you coporate capitalism). Still, even with sobdated an engine, Bethesda has kept up. Imagine what they could do with the Cry Engine. As for pat games... Asside from Redguard (which I have an original release for, I just can't get it working) I stil play Daggerfall and Morrowind rather regularly. Arena was not really TES, more a generic fantasy game, and r ankly Oblivion was as denatured, happy-go-lucky abomination whose only salvation was tHe Shivering Isles... Signette
IIRC Arena featured ALL Tamriel territories with randomly generated locations. I guess remaking Arena would much more of a challenge =)Still, I hope we'll see some day Tamriel as one in quality, true singleplayer The Elder Scrolls game. notmyhome
Technically, the Wilderness of Arena is randomly generated and therefore infinite. There is, however, a mod that aims to bring locations from Arena's Skyrim to TESV: Skyrim Frontier Fortress. But honestly, who would NOT want a Daggerfall-sized Skyrim? I'd never have to talk to anybody IRL ever again...
scissorhands
If they made the entirety of Tamriel to the same scale as Daggerfall, it'd have an area of roughly 12 million square kilometres (about 20% bigger than Europe). Now if someone made all of that and made it TES6, the sheer amount of awesomeness would cause it to turn into a black hole (no seriously, it'd be the best thing ever). I do wish Skyrim's world was bigger though. The area of Far Cry 2's world is about 50 km2, quite a lot more than the 37.6 km2 of Skyrim. Not to mention Far Cry 2 came out about 3 years earlier. If you want to look at the land area of TES2,3,4&5 compared, look at this: http://i.imgur.com/B7rBN.jpg Edited July 16, 2014 by scissorhands
ddeadmau5
Firstly, thanks all for replies, secondly, I didn't really think about all the details. Oblivion map is bigger than Skyrim but they did something (I forgot exactly what) to make the map bigger, maybe scaling or something but still. I agree, I'd like to think that it will be the final TES game with all the provinces. If you think about how long it is required to make new TES game, Oblivion was 2006, Skyrim 2011, TES6 maybe 2017 (just speculating it may be sooner or even later) but by the time they make each game with it's own province it will pass a lot of time. And by then I think that huge maps won't be any problem since everything will be really, hm how should i say, more modern. (Sorry english is not my native language). There are also huge and very quality territory mods which easily get integrated and don't contradict vanilla Skyrim.
MethosTR
If the Tamriel of Arena was added to TES 6, lotion companies would boast more earnings than the entire G8 in terms of economic performance  Edited July 17, 2014 by MethosTR
