Need Help : CM Partner Mod Crash When Entering Imperial City

When I recruit a companion from this mod and try to enter the Imperial City, it crashes. Any idea? Because I have no idea about it.

 

I used Better Cities mod too. I assume this may help in the process of problem solving.

Do you use or did you used Better Cities? If you did use it, then there might have problems occured while you deinstalled/deactivated it. CM Partners should work fine and I never heard of a crash like this.

 

Are you using multiple mods or just CM Partners?

Do you use OBSE, BOSS and/or OBMM?

 

If so, post the modlist here, so the pros can figure out what's the problem^^

Yeah, a modlist will help. One thing to watch out for with CM Partners is that you don't have the Non-essential and Essential versions both active at the same time. With no extra CM's, if I remember right, you should only have the CMPartners.esm and one cmpartners.esp active. If you have multiple esps, particularly if its both the essential and non-essential versions, you'll confuse the hell out of the game engine because of the conflicting partner scripts. And you'll likely have twins of all the partners wondering around the place which will cause a vast rift in the space time continuim. Or something. Whatever. It causes CTDs. :)

I don't see any bashed patch in this list. Are you using Wrye Bash? If not you should consider using it and build a bashed Patch. I can't tell you what conflicts with the Partners mod. For a safe instance you maybe should try to reinstall it. The readme says that problems like this are probably related to a bad install of CM Partners.

 

Also, you should download and use the following Tools, if you not already did:

 

1. OBMM (search for additional plugins like pluggy or emas universal silent voice)

2. OBSE (the beta 18.6 version)

3. BOSS (you'll find this to be a very nifty tool)

4. WRYE BASH

 

Basically what I do is, installing all my mods (I have about 150 installed), use OBMM for archive invalidation, then use BOSS to automatically arrange my mods in the correct order, then use Wrye Bash to build a bashed patch. You should import anything into it and also merge the leveled lists and mods, that are safe to be merged (Wrye Bash will tell you). Then, as a final instance, I manually rearrange the mods that BOSS didn't recognized with OBMM.

 

Always try to get mods in OMOD format. CM Partners exists as OMOD.

I see you have multiple mods that do the same. You should read all the readmes carefully to understand what all the mods do for your game and then get rid of thoose you don't really need. Any superfluous mod will make your game more and more unstable as you progress. Here's my list to compare:

I found the problem now, it's Duke Patricks - Actors Can Miss Now.esp. When I deactivate it, the bug is no more exists. But thanks by the way for the advices.

I got a problem with this mod too. I can play the game just fine, the problem is, whenever I try to load a game when I'm in game, Oblivion crashes. Whenever I try to quit the game or even go to ''Main Menu'' the game crashes too. I know Better Cities caused this as I tested the other mods I had before installing it. The other mods I have are Beautiful People(most recent version), QarlTP3, HGEC Body 1.21 and Oblivion XP. Anyone knows where the problem might be?
