How can I change night into darker nights in cs?

However, I have already done the mute sound thing. It works like a charm, except there are no crickets in the forests either now. Bethesda in their infinite wisdom put crickets in the mountains even though they didn't have to. It was the forest cricket sound. Well, in the CS, you can see that the crickets have 0% chance of playing, so that's cool. Somebody came along and set them straight. However, it still plays. XBOX 360 launch was right around the corner and more important things took priority and the next thing you know, you've got crickets in a blizzard.

 

I simply replaced the forest cricket sound with a mute file. Great. Problem solved. But what about in the forests? It's cool. There aren't really crickets in the forest anyway, but there can be. It's the principle of the thing.
