Hello Nexus :)

I'm using Kangrenac's Instant Fortress as my primary home in my current play through:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17835/?

It's a great house. The only problem I have with it is that all the music I've spent hours adding to my game doesn't play inside.

So, I'm curious if someone can tell me what I need to do to in the creation kit to get music working there. I'm a total noob with the CK though, so I figured what better way to get myself familiar with the basics than this?(forgive me if this is in fact not a simple task :P)

Thank you

I started to respond, realized I didn't know much about how the music works, and you got me curious. :p After downloading the mod and checking it out, the problem seems to be that the Music Type for the interior cell is just DEFAULT. I'm pretty sure this doesn't do anything, and that's why you don't have any music.

So what you need to do is this. Open up the CK, hit File, Data, select Skyrim.esp and FCKagrenacsInstantFortress.esp and set the fortress plugin as the Active plugin. It should load up with the World Space at the bottom set as Interiors, which is good. Click any name on the list once and type FC. This should bring the FCInstantFortressInterior cell up as your selection. This is the interior cell used in the mod, the place with rooms that you go to whenever you enter the door of the tower. Right click the name FCInstantFortressInterior and click Edit.

On this first tab, on the top right side, is Music Type, with a dropdown menu. You can choose pretty much any music type used in the game from here. For some examples, most Dwemer dungeons just use MUSDungeon, while Dragonsreach uses MUSCastle, and buildings in Whiterun like Breezehome use MUSTownTest. Most of the music types listed are temporary sounds and don't play real music, so I'd suggest one of those three.

After you've changed the music type to whatever you prefer, hit Apply (just to be safe), and then Ok. Then just hit File, and Save. That should save your change to the mod. This change will be lost any time you update the mod of course, so you might have to do it again someday.

Any basic information, like opening/saving plugins, or information on further modifying the mod to your personal liking, can be found at http://www.creationkit.com. It's full of great guides, both from Bethesda and community members.
