FillipeMattos
A mod that shows the homeland of the Argonians and Khajiit would be good.
gandalftw
I prefer the original idea of starting as a child, it would be nice to experience a bit of childhood in Skyrim instead of starting as a prisoner in the back of a wagon.I'm not into being a prisoner, brings back too many bad memories.FillipeMattos stick to your guns don't be swayed by differing opinions your idea is a fascinating one, full of possibilities, and if i had the knowledge to bring it to life i would. FillipeMattos
As there are many playable races in Skyrim, each race would have a different childhood and full of intrigue. Like a flashback would happen at the time you are taken to the executioner. In fact, the childhood of the Dragonborn would be the second flashback. The player would act stealth way most of the time. Show the conspiratorial plans Thalmos and all the dirt they do. The first FlashBack happen when you're on the wagon (as an adult), which would explain why your character was stuck. In this case, the view would be in first person and you could not see the HUD. Or access the weapons, just watch the dialogues. You would see the empire knocking you in the back and carrying her unconscious body to the wagon.
fraquar
Most of what the OP describes is basically describing Haming. A boy who is growing up in a land full of bandits, a Civil War and he just loses his parents due to a Dragon with heartburn. Then he goes and lives with a hermit......... simtam
Concerning the OP idea: you could do essantialy what Fallout:Brazil mod is doing to F:NV story - a prequel, with different player hero (I think you could write it subtly, so that it is left open to interpretation whether it's the same person as later dragonborn from the Skyrim game). Who is a kid and his village is destroyed - I don't always like such a cliche beginning, but if you develop your story around Forsworn Uprising and The_Bear_of_Markarth then it could end up pretty much right. Especially that vanilla Forsworns are less then fully developed and you could pretty much reuse their "Redoubt" locations. There is plenty of opporutinity for a good story-oriented mod going on there. Hey, if you manage to wrap it as a "PC dreaming about his early youth" inside the main Skyrim story, then you are pretty much onto your way to the status of an unofficial DLC. Lachdonin
With sufficient work and consideration, this could be a series of mods covering different races and origin stories, bit I think the idea of a singular experience is far too limited. FillipeMattos
The idea came when I was playing in Civil War (Sub-Quest). At moment that the Stormcloack was attacking Whiterun, I imagined that this could have happened with the Dragonborn in childhood, if he was a Nordic. If the player has chosen other races, childhood will be in a different place. Explaining why they had gone to visit Skyrim. The DLC also show the past of other factions in Skyrim, as Falmers, Vampires and Forsworn. Each playable race presenciaria different perspectives on the past of each of these factions. One of the playable races, as a teenager, would see more details about Volkihar clan. Another race would see in more detail the past of Forsworn (as Nordic). Another race would know the past of the Dwarven and Falmers. Thus forth. Edited July 21, 2014 by FillipeMattos
