I think conflicting mods are causing a crash at startup. I didnt see any other posts on this, so ill leave it here.

First off, ill tell you im a newb at using mods, so ill tell you what i did so far:

 

-searched nexus for starbound

-clicked on the mod that seemed appealing

-clicked download with nmm, or manual.

-manual, or occasionally w/nmm would send me to a lists of versions of particular mod. i always went with the most recent update.

-nmm auto update this morning (eastern time u.s.)

-activated all mods in nmm

-occasionally some will ask me to overwrite read_me etc. I would select no every time

- opened starbound, clicked "launch starbound" and i get the attached pic. I get a different error for OpenGL

-crash every time.

 

Current mods activated through nexus:

 

-Absolution (tri-drives)

-Ammo overhaul - MMNgun

-CreativeMode 1-2-2-27-1-2-2

-Deconstructo - Deconstructo - Furious Koala

-Different Warp Colours - DiffWarpColours

-Fully Custoizable Ship - FCS V1_1 Enraged Koala

-Hunting Plus - Hunting Plus

-Matter anipulator Plus - Matter Manipulator Plus - with Tabula Rasa support

-Metroid Armor Pack - Metroid Armor Pack v_Angry Koala

-Ore Farming - Ore_Farming1_8

-Pixel Goods Store - Pixel Goods Store

-Placeable Atmosphere Generator -Placeable Atmosphere Generator v Enraged Koala

-Racial Abilities - Racial Abilities

-Sergal Race - The Sergal Mod

-***Starbound mod Manager - Starbound Mod Manager v2-0-2 - @indows

-Tech Research Work Station - Tech Research Work Station v 1-2

-TS technologies - TS Tech

-Variety is the spice of the universe - VitsotU v1-0-1-1 for Enraged Koala

-XS Corporation Mechs - XS Mech Pack v 1_05

 

*** this mod/program is supposed be make all mods work properly together. I open the program, the click the "add mod" button. go to the folder containing the mods, but i dont know WHAT to click on. there is no obvious thing that i have to do, can someone point me in that direction?

 

My first guess on the issues may be the mods that are for anything below enraged koala. Maybe some things (ie fully customizable ship + Absolution) are conflicting.

Edit: sorry, i dont remember testng for the tech research specifically, but the matter manipulator will crash any other mod 100% of the time.

 

After tediously testing each individual mod listed above, here are the 2 that did NOT work with any other mod on said list:

 

-Matter manipulator plus

-Tech research work station

 

its a shame, these both seem like good ideas.

 

if anyone knows how to work "starbound mod manager" please explain, or send a link :smile:
