vizhi
Hey guys. I'm in a sort of bind and I really need your advice. I had bought Skyrim some time ago on steam, and I played it for a while, and kept adding mods to it. So my save right now is one with lots of Skyrim mods. The legendary edition went on sale recently, so now I've got the DLCs, but almost all the mods have specific DLC versions. (But I have the non DLC versions installed) In your opinion, should I just start a new game, or uninstall all mods and reinstall the DLC versions and continue this save (will it work? :s), or just finish the game and then try the DLCs? Halde
Remove all your mods, reinstall the proper versions, then start a new game.
vizhi
Remove all your mods, reinstall the proper versions, then start a new game. Thank you for your response. I know that will work, but do you know if it's possible to keep my progress?
Halde
It is entirely possible. The problem is your save will most likely corrupt at some point, and then all the progress will have been lost. And it will also most likely make Skyrim unstable during the time you play.

Signette
It highly depends on what mods you use. Updating some may be harmless when others can really break your game. From my experience, any update additions game takes much more lightly then uninstalling or rollbacks.
