Spudnik Posted July 29, 2003 Author Posted July 29, 2003 yah, ive got two book mods liked up so far....
breck Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 I'd like to enter but most all I do is Mess with scripts. How do you judge a script?
FlyingFox Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 One would judge a script mainly on whether it does its job most effectively. If a script tells a character to appear somewhere else at a specified time, and the character is there at that time, then the script is doing its job. If meanwhile the script also makes all other NPCs mute (though with object-specific scripts this probably won't happen), then the script is probably flawed. :)
Spudnik Posted July 30, 2003 Author Posted July 30, 2003 in judging a scripting challenge i would look for the "acrobatics" of the script. for example: a challenge would be to make all beds teleport you to one place and then have another script bring u back. doing this without turning all the beds into doors merits something.
Spudnik Posted August 2, 2003 Author Posted August 2, 2003 monday. but no guarantees that the stuff ive come up with is do-able in a weeks time.
ciddy Posted August 4, 2003 Posted August 4, 2003 lol, that'd be me thn.... so, it was suposed tostart today so WHERE IS IT???????
Spudnik Posted August 4, 2003 Author Posted August 4, 2003 *sigh* my internet was temporarily cut off, and as of the 19th, i wont have it anymore. so until september, this will probly be the last competition. not the FINAL one by any means. but at school, i get free internet access. so without further ado, i shall change the competition section of MS (Morrowind Source)
