Best mods and how to use them/get them to work?

I got the mod manager. Ir works fine. I put green world mod, fellout, etc. But some don't work? like marts mod, I don't notice anything different. Im i doing something worn? Same thing with another mod, fooks. Nothing is different. Whats wrong? I got that achieve invalidation thing too.

 

Also, what are some mods you guys recommend? Is there any to kill those annoying kids?
