Two questions.....

3 questions i guess , I dont feel like looking at a thousand posts to find a simple answer. So i'll ask it again, Do you use fransesco's monsters in an fcom build or not?

 

And What is the Jesus stance thing on dead bodys i find sometimes? Is there a fix for it? If so can you post a link, or address? And

 

Make it three, In an fcom build it seems i am missing 1 mesh , It could be Tie in im not sure, but when i get to a "merchant dude" standing by a roadsign, there is a small exclamation point........any ideas?

 

I have just a FCOM build installed.Tie in and optional tie in files Exenems runeskulls, and mosrt optional FCOM files also.

You run Francesco's .esms (both of them) and Chances of Stronger Enemies, Stronger Bosses, More enemies and Leveled guards... But unless I'm forgetting something those are the only files from Fran that you run. The rest is taken care of by other mods of FCOM or the FCOM files themselves.

Buddah told me the jesus thing is from streamline i got that fixed. And i guess i have a full FCOM install then cause i have exactly everything you say, nothing else. Will post a screen shot next time i find that.

 

Now the question is, what makes oblivion crash overtime? I'll be playing at around 40 fps but then the game will crash suddenly after about an hour....could this be a memory issue?

Nope. It's a mod issue. There are two types of mods. Addition mods and Change mods.

 

Addition mods are simple. They add new stuff. Say they add a script, or a set of armor, or whatever. They play nice.

 

Change mods are a bit more complicated. Those kinds of mods change "existing" data. Take a bandit, set his health to 900, and save it as an .esp. That's a change mod.

 

Overhauls combine the two mod types (especially FCOM, which combines Overhauls)

 

Running just a single overhaul MAY cause crashes. This depends on how well the overhaul was built, and what other mods you have running.

 

FCOM however, makes a TON of changes. Sometimes, things go wonky and you crash. It's a fault of FCOM itself most of the time. Now, take FCOM and run 138 mods (like me) and you have a decent chance of crashing if your load order is wrong. Load order makes a HUGE difference. I'd recommend getting BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software) for general load order, but you'll still have to tweak things by hand with OBMM.

Hehe, "Nothing is conflicting" always makes me chuckle. Mods always conflict. They can't help but sneeze at each other. The more you run the worse it gets. With a boss load order I would crash maybe once every couple of hours. With boss plus my own hand tweaking, I crash at most a couple times a day if I'm playing most the day.

Thats my load order, after running boss. there obviously something is screwed up. Game runs great then crashes about 1/2 into playing. If you got the time Tell me what im doing wrong cause i have put everything that comes up "unknown" in the front so it loads first. I did do a clean install before i did the FCOM thing.

This is my OBMM load order. And actually i have tweeked and tweeked it. but im tired of opening and closing OBMM cause for some reason it takes 5 minutes to close the window.

 

What you could do is post yer modorder so i can see what is messed up...if you have an FCOM install.

I've an FCOM. But you should fix your load order. Placing mods that BOSS sees as "unknown" which means it's not in the master list is bad. Learn how to manually order mods and do it to the unknown mods. That could be causing a problem.

That's most of it. The rest are basically just quest mods such as Malevolent and others that I never want to run all the time. Also I removed four mods from the list for various reasons. They minor tweaks and such made for personal use.

If it's a mod conflict issue, definately. Otherwise, it could be just that some of your mods cannot play well together. They exist. If you run Mod A you cannot run Mod B because of C reason.
