NPC problem

I've been making a mod on the GECK and I've made a merc to guard a banker I'm making.

When I see him in the GECK he looks normal but when I go in game he has a dark face and light arms. he should have a dark skin colour all over not just on his head :P

How can I fix this?

The mismatched face/body bug can be fixed by one of these two solutions:

1) On the NPC data page, select the 'Can be all Races" flag.

2) Turn you mod into an ESM via a tool such as FO3Plugin or FO3Edit.

Thanks I'll try that.

I get alot of warnings in the GECK as well, like it cant find lots of texture files :( I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

The mismatched face/body is a common bug in ESPs. Most of the warnings you get when loading the Geck are not real, but some are. Everyone's Geck will while about not being able to find this or that texture, but the game will still find them. If you have true texture problems, you will see the texture on an object flicker is a very strange way as random textures will be applied to them as you move and they look oh so weird.

Also, with the above fixes, its an either or. One will work for some, the other will work for the rest. Once you turn your mod into an ESM, you won't be able to edit it. Therefore most of us just live with the problem until release time, then make the change from ESP to ESM for the upload file. Then change back to an ESP to continue editing it if need be.

Yeah I've decided to live with it until I finish. FO3Plugin makes life easy to change the esp so I'm ok now I think. Thanks for all your help.
