safe cpu temp

ok guys i just upgraded from a dio core processor to a intel quad core processor Q8300 my question is what is a safe maxium temp to be running on, atm on idle the highest processor is running on 38 C and running a game is about 44 C

Sounds good. You should stress it a bit by playing a game on max, that'll show what's the coolers-ability and its stress-temperature. If it's already on max..well then you'll have no trouble with that temperature.

Nope, can't find it. 50 is advisable for a long-durability...60+ is at a risky/medium-overclocker one and you shouldn't get above 70. Yes it can get step by step higher without an immediate breakdown, but eventually it'll just shorten its lifetime.

did the test at windowed screen it ran at 44 degrees max at max video settings aswell so iguess it good seeing as im not going to be playing on max settings anyway thanks the the help
