HUD Mod

Hi i havent pplayed morrowind before & the HUD is a bit crappy everything feels so cheap :/

i'm so gunna get stomped on for this post :(

but i was wonering if anyone can make a new HUD mod bigger map rather than a dice sized one & bigger health bar & stuff

also how do i find my way around to do the quests, is it just a case of guessing

Not sure about any HUD mods.

 

In order to figure out where to go for quests, try asking relevant NPCs about topics related to the quest. Usually there will be some dialogue with directions that are recorded to your journal. There's no "map marker" or anything, you just have to follow the directions from your journal (go south until this landmark, turn east at that landmark, etc.).

Well this game did come out in 2002, so it's graphics aren't going to be up to modern standards. If you're interested there are many ways to mod the game so that it's a bit more graphically appealing - Morrowind Graphics Extender, Better Bodies, various texture packs, etc.

Since you're coming from Oblivion, try looking at this guide: Morrowind for Oblivion Players. It outlines the ways in which the two are different so you aren't surprised by anything.

TOTALLY called that you had played oblivion first before you said so. :happy:

 

If you need a bigger minimap try this: in your inventory with the bigger better map, click the box in the upper right corner of the map window so it's pushed in. Then move it to the bottom left corner and size it as you like; it acts just like any window on the computer. With the button pushed in, the map stays open when you leave your inventory. This change carries over all of your characters, so you only need to do it once. Hope this helps.
