Myydraal
I found the main quest rather easy personally, if i were to do this epic dungeon i would make it insaly hard =P but thats just me, and i wasn't saying you shouldn;t get some nifty reward for complting somethin like this, i was just saying that the ironic thing about all dungeon crawling and RPGs and so on, atleast when it comes to things that have loot as the motivation, is that the better you get the harder stuff u gotta fight to get the better stuff to fight the harder stuff =P. Anyways i'm a plot guy, love a good plot, like loot but thats secondary. (not saying anyone else is a loot person just saying some things are designed that way, hehe)
ilikeme151
what if you got that grand ole castle thing you were talking about, but acted effectively as its count. You could order the construction of buildings (dunno how that would work). Go to town council meetings to dispense justice between your townspeople. Stuff of that sort. Be master of your domain. If possible be able to equip and train your own personal bodygaurd force (like town gaurds). If you've beaten this uber dungeon you ought to be revered throughout the land as some great hero. Maybe a book should be written about your deeds. Etc.

Two thoughts about this cool idea: 1. Check out using the Construction Kit. While it is not 'in game', if you master the Construction Kit, you can effectively be the count over anything in your game. Places, events, even people (I wrote a fun "adults-only" mod as an experiment). 2. On a Tower idea, this mod uses a rather cool effect to allow the player to walk along the simulated railing of a tower. http://www.tessource.net/files/cache/3862.html (Ancient Source) With the Construction Kit, you could edit it so there were bridges from tower to tower the player had to walk along, going higher and higher from tower to tower (perhaps as a maze) until they got to the top. Put some nasty beasts along the bridges from tower to tower, and the player would have to decide to fight head-on, snipe away, or find alternative paths... ;)
mezlo
Hmm..an underground area with main quest and mini quests, eh? *quickly replaces the sky textures with rock textures* There ya go *Grin* Seriously, this sounds like a really cool idea, though a huge amount of work.
