Wrathfulram
Hello my computer specs are as follows: Geforce 670 FTW 2gb AMD-8350 8 core at 4ghz 16gb 1600mhz ram Installed on SSD Only mods that I have installed that improve textures are Official Hi-rez dlc Skyrealism Shiny weapons and armorSkyrim HD -2k textures LITE edition.... i don think they are 2k resolution. I just bought all the DLC that comes with skyrim to get back into the game but everytime when im fighting and I switch between my favorited weapons the game freezes for a second, this is really jarring and makes me not want to play the game. Has anyone come across this or know of a fix? My computer should handle anything thrown at it right? i mean this is skyrim not crysis 3 :(
gamefever
Its not just textures that cause slow downs, INI file tweaks Script heavy mods Combination of things and then throw in that your in combat and things get intense as the AI has to kick in for combat and magic FX gets thrown around Going to need more to on here but you might want to start looking at app's and other means to optimize your game. SSMEENB BoosterSkyrim ConfigulatorOne Tweak there's all kinds of stuff, You can even google up some texture mods for grass, smoke, fire and ice, weather and particles/dustthat all make the textures of stuff that isn't super important and can be very demanding well guess what they got stuff to reduce their size and reduce the impact so when your in the thick of it everything runs smoothly. Honestly give some thought to where these slowdowns happen some areas are prone to slow downs, Whats going on in the environment? Is that a running river over there? Are the leaves falling off trees during combat? Is it raining? Are you using a light source, torch, wearable lantern, or even the Dawnbreaker?
