Cylentnyte
hey guys, new here but this looked like the place to go for this kind of thing. definitely a n00b question i'm about to ask, it's probably somethin really stupid i'm just not seein but basically i have a bunch of mods from the store and other builders, some are just the files with an <additem> part to add to the existing "Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings\addins.xml" and some are .dazips to use with DAModder or DAUpdater. i'm backin everything up to an external and wanna make installation easier on myself later by makin everything a .dazip so all i have to do is drag and drop. i've tried taking an existing standalone mod, copying and opening up the manifest.xml it comes with, deleting everything between <additem> <\additem> and pasting in the <additem> part for the other mod. then i put the files for the mod into the folder "Contents\Addins" and drag and drop the "Contents" folder and the edited manifest.xml file into a winzip folder, then renaming it to .dazip. no matter what i try i always get "Couldn't load manifest.xml (Could be bad .dazip archive)" from DAUpdater. from what i can tell, these mods only go into the "Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Addins" folder and directly replace the "addins.xml" from settings which REALLY screws me out of any other dlc i've got installed. any help is appreciated, i'm at a loss :pinch:
Lavbyte
I dont know about you or what you have done but you could try looking into downloading the modmanager since it handles dazip files and overrides also http://www.7-zip.org/ other notes:dazips are really just fake extensions. sorry I cant help any further
