OBSE installation help

Hi, i am currently trying to install OBSE to get some mods i wanted, but whenever i try the launcher, it prompts me with the message OBSE Launcher has stopped working and that windows is checking for problems. i've followed the readme, and i put all the files needed in the oblivion directory. i am running version obse_0018_beta_6.zip, and i copied the following files into the oblivion folder: obse_1_2_416.dll, obse_editor_1_2.dll, and obse_loader.exe. honestly i don't know what the problem is, it doesn't give me any details on what they are, and i need some help, thanks.

are ALL of the obse files in oblivion directory ? if so, make sure that you have created a shortcut to it, and not just copied the launcher to your desktop. If none of that works, than try the stable v17b :sweat:

The beta in the version name 0018_beta indicates that this is an unfinished version released for testing. If it gives problems please inform the author but please give specifics as to what the problem is and under what circumstances it gives problems. If you want a stable release, use the older v17. And also note the special install instructions for the steam version of Oblivion.
