Bottletopman
Fallout buffs will know that the Bozar that we've all come to love was originally intended to be a sniper rifle, but due to a simple mistake on part of the devs, it turned into the killing machine it is now. But what if it was actually made as intended? What if that mistake never happened, and the Bozar was going to be a sniper rifle not to be trifled with?______________ Basically I'm doing that ^ Well, at least, I'm trying to. Firstly, I've decided to make it use .50 MG ammo, so it'll be a semi automatic variant of the deathclaw-raping AMR (I mean come on it looks like a well-known real-world AMR, take a guess), but with less damage and accuracy to balance things out a bit. Secondly, there's a few problems with the first point. Testing in game, there's no semi-automatic animations for the 2handautomatic category as the Bozar is actually a unique light machine gun, and there are no weapons in NV using those animations that are semi-automatic. Then there's the problem of scope recoil, which I suspect is related to the animation issue. Firing the rifle, there is zero recoil felt, it doesn't have the same kick as the AMR when you pull the trigger, and unticking the 'automatic' flag in the GECK stops it firing at all. I'm wondering if there's anybody well-experienced with the GECK who knows a way to fix this, thanks in advance!
UnEvenSteven
If you un-ticked the "Automatic" flag then you'll also need to change the "Attack Anim" which is found under the Art and Sound tab of weapon, it's probably set to "Attack Loop" so change it to "Attack Left". When scoped this should still give a bit of a kick when fired, about the same as the Sniper Rifle. You may also want to change the "Attack Mulitplier" which is also found under the Art and Sound tab, setting it to something like 2.8 will give you 3 attacks per second though you can adjust it to your liking. Don't worry about the Bozar still using the "TwoHandAutomatic" animation type, the gun will still be semi-automatic after performing the changes above (the Marksman Carbine is set to use the "TwoHandAutomatic" animation type as well and it's a semi-automatic weapon). Bottletopman
Oooooh, thank you very much! Yeah I had actually thought about the Marksman Carbine and how it managed to have the recoil effects while being a semi-auto weapon, despite using the 2handautomatic animations, but never actually realised I could do the same thing to the Bozar. Thanks a lot!
