Oliver0406
is there any way for me to take a few guns out of the mod and use them seperately, because i want the guns in the mod the mod as a whole.
tassadarfanboy
It is possible to do so, but Fallout 3 being built the way it is, not entirely simple. The easiest way would be to use FO3Edit and copy all related entries into a new .esp file. However, you must make sure to copy everything related, including sounds, first person models, world models, scripts, base effects, object effects if any, projectiles etc. And you need to export either the item placements on locations and creatures for the new guns (and new ammo, if present) or manually add them to your inventory via debug console. Just out of curiosity, what mod are you referring to and why can't you use the whole mod?

ric36
What you want to do is certainly possible, but will involve lots of work. You will need the GECK, and nifscope at the very least. Unpack the mod that you want the guns for into a temporary folder (not your fallout program folder). Then use nifscope to identify the models that you want to take from the mod. There are 3 main folders under data that you will need to get the files from, meshes for the 3d models, textures for the skin of the models and sounds, which contains the sound effects for gun fire. You will need to learn how to use nifscope and the geck. If you want to keep the stats of the guns from the mod, you can use FO3Edit for copy sections from the mod esp into your own ESP file. You will need to learn how to do that as well. There are a great many online resources and help files that should give you a lot of the information that you need, but it is not going to be a couple of minutes work.
