Athelos
Okay, rather simple. Working on a Total Conversion mod. I have created new Bink videos for many things, I have named them the same as Oblivion's default videos, I have given them their own names as well and modified (and backed up) the Oblivion_default.ini file. I have given the videos the same resolution (1280x720, 720p), and the same data rate (1200000) as the original files and yet every time I start the game, the minute it tries to play the custom videos; It CTD's. Are there settings I need to change in the INI file that I am not seeing, or is Oblivion.exe coded to only accept videos with a certain timestamp and size? Perhaps I am missing a certain setting in the Bink Conversion windows. Maybe using an improper codec (AVI-DV II). Should I use WMV instead? Jenrai
Use the same codec as the game vids (probably wmv, not 100% certain) and use archiveinvalidation to nerf the game's normal videos and use your replacers instead. Sounds like its trying to use both, hence CTD when they should start. Jenrai

Needless to say, I have it working now; and have made the proper adjustments to Oblivion.ini Here, have a look, tell me what you think. I'm about to announce this project on the site. Jenrai
Don't know if the link or the vid is broken matey, but at home and at work that gets shot down by an immediate time out. Tried at home last night and I've just tried at work again now. :/ Jenrai
