Megatarius Posted April 7, 2010 Share Posted April 7, 2010 I thought it would be cool to have a mod which allowed you to join a guild of merchants when you reach apprentice of Mercantile. It would be a quest mod involving traveling to other towns to retrieve items for people, helping other merchants tangle with thieves, and walking around with items on you which you could proposition random NPC's into purchasing from you. Use your speechcraft and the haggle slider for the opposite purpose this time, and try to swindle the customers out of their money! Your fame will increase with each mission, and every 10 sales. Infamy would increase for every 10 sales you managed to pawn off clutter for high prices, so be a responsible salesman. It would be another use for an underused skill. Of course, the quests themselves would be fairly action-oriented, with some of the later ones even requiring high combat or magic skills. The early quests would be more laid back, story-driven affairs that would be perfect for someone just starting out from the sewer exit. It would be a pretty big undertaking, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Something that might add a more provincial direction to the game. Ironically, I don't know if I'd have time to invest in joining a group to make this mod. I know very little of scripting, but if I did have time, I'd be willing to put together locations in the CS and write the quests. I don't have any in mind, no, but the wheels are turning... Oh, and I almost forgot: Upon reaching Journeyman in Mercantile, and completing enough quests, you will be given a spell which allows you to know any NPC's inventory, and whether or not anything they have is stolen. :teehee: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
