Legion monkey is vexed. My fault in some respects but not entirely. Let me explain. Having had some severely bad experiences with Oblivion mods I did expect some problems with F03 and I was not disappointed. I thusly resorted to extreme measures and removed the entire game. Ouch. My choice.

 

Ok, that was extreme. I re install the entire F03 game and new FOMM and new Invalidate and chose some nice mods that suit my role playing style. Here is the list:

 

XENH. Esp (female race mod looks nice)

Bionic eyes. Esp ( ties in with XENH)

Aer10 laser rifle. Esp ( nice scoped rifle)

Sra. Esp (shoulderless metal armour, in black)

Minihideout. Esp ( c`mon, you know this is good, 700 rates!!?)

 

That’s it, DLC`s and then them above. I discover that zeta dlc works fine, so one problem has stopped happening (the bit after the alien examination where I am in a cell and I have absolutely no control, staring at the empty cell, that problem). So I play on.

 

Now after some hours I have reached the main story end sequence and ….. ah.

I am now staring at the pump room from the floor with no control again. As before the re install. Interesting. So I try a few things. Point lookout works so its not that, zeta has worked so its not that. Try the mod order. Nope. Cannot switch off all the mods at once, as I lose integrity and crash. Ok……. So I try each one in turn. XENH is the one crashing so I think about how to get around this. So I try command “showracemenu” and I have a partial success. Because I am not a XENH race choice, broken steel works, but I have lost my perks. I can change my race back after the broken steel intro has past but, no perks.

 

I remember something about race changes and skill loss in Oblivion, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was that got round this problem, plus, when I am changing race I have to disengage “tab” to see what I am doing because it’s just impossible to do it otherwise. So if I need to save in there somewhere, where? You can’t whilst the race menu is up. I know some of you will state the obvious, remove XENH mod. Yeah, but, do I really have to? Is that my only option here? Plus what if XENH isn’t the only issue? That’s a lot of game time to find out isn’t it? Surely there is another way? I know I am not the brightest spark in the universe but I wouldn’t say I am the thickest piece of wood in the forest either. I love this game and am seeking solutions.

 

If anyone can help a pc illiterate such as myself I would appreciate the assist.

well well, a known bug.....thanks for the link that may well be the fix. I was also trying to remember that console command sequence for not losing perks/ skills when you change race but.....once again I thank you

 

Gonna try this out when I can and let you know but that definately looks like the issue.
