FREEZE problem

Hi everybody, thanks for read.

 

Here is the thing, Oblivion always FREEZE when an Argonian is near me or when I engage the conversation, no freeze with another race ... I have some mods installed ( OOO, last update, last unofficial patch, wrye bash etc )

 

I try to play without the mods ( via OBMM ) but the game still freeze, I have to do " ctrl+alt+suppr " , alreay " alt+shift " don't work ! I play a long time ago ( lvl 50 ) but the problems just appear now, I try somethings to cure but nothing works ... I hope someone will help me with some solution :s

First guess would be that you have or had a mod that alters Argonians in some way that the game doesn't like. Though I don't see a problem with what you say you've got there, if thats all you've ever had installed.

A load order list article would likely help.

Meantime, try updating your archiveinvalidation. Easy to do in OBMM. Choose Archive Redirection. I've never directly edited the BSA's and never had any problems with this stuff. If you have directly edited the BSAs, you might have to undo that. (again, simple to do in OBMM) The reason I'm picking this up would be you say it happens when an Argonian is "near" you. If the Argonian's voices, meshes or textures have been altered by a mod, even a mod you don't still have, it could still affect your game if the Archive invalidation is telling Oblivion not to use the default files.

If that doesn't help I would suspect we're going to need more information.
