Problem with token/invisible armor and clothing

What I mean by this is that I've made some changes over the past several weeks in my mod lineup, and went into Apachii's Goddess Store to make a few purchases for some mod screens I want. The purchases, unfortunately, when dropped, turn into rectangular tablets marked Goddess Store. When placed on a companion or mannequin, the appropriate body part simply vanishes. It becomes see-through. Most of the pieces it affects are for the chest and legs area. Most of those for hands and feet escape this.

 

I've no idea why. Logically, if it was a matter of missing textures, the item would be purple. In any case, I've reinstalled the Store: no difference. I've run BOSS, and taken a close like at my Wrye Bash order, and redone the Bashed Patch repeatedly. No difference. Placed the Store at a significantly later point in my loading order, and reinstalled Roberts Male Body 4.0. No difference.

 

Any idea what's going on? I'd appreciate the help. This is really frustrating.

Stranger, and stranger. I did a FormID on a few of these. Model location is pointing at a generic NIF in a meshes subdirectory, so I supposed the problem is with a mesh. Which is weird, because they appear on my character perfectly well. I'd think that if the mesh were messed up, my character would show it, too.

 

And here's the thing: I've looked in the nested subdirectory for the meshes of an item that has a generic mesh (ie, wrong) mesh in the game, and it looks perfectly right in the Oblivion meshes/armor/apachii/dragon subdirectory. It's as though something were overriding its attempt to look there, turning that subdirectory invisible, and returning it a message of "there's no such mesh here."

Try the clothes on a female (using HGEC, I hasten to add) bala. Most of the stuff in the Goddess Store is female only, designed for the HGEC bod.

Yeah--it turned out that it was simply poorly flagged as female-only. There's some armor in the store either males or females can wear, and others that certainly should be unisex (the bulky Dragon Cuirass comes to mind), but aren't. Thanks.
