I can't install a single mod.

I can't seem to find out what the problem is. Instead of folders that all the descriptions tell me tp out my files in, I got some stupid archive program that can't do anything. So I got some mod to remove it but surprise, surprise it didn't work. This is why I HATE Bethesda. They make their games moddable but it seems they have to make it hard for us. What's so goddamn wrong with just having an override folder like Bioware games have. That has NEVER failed me.

Any help ?

I find Bethesda's method of modding routinely simple and bioware's completely arcane so there you go.

Any details? What operating system are you using? What archive program are you talking about (get universal extractor if you can find it, unarchives almost anything). If you have xp (unlikely) then things are easy. If you are using vista or windows 7 with UAC enabled, then it's a battle.

Assuming that the game is installed on your C: drive then the game data folder that everybody refers to is normally C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data. Mod ESPs go here with the rest of the stuff generally going in sub-folders like Meshes, Textures and Sounds. Try downloading fallout mod manager as a start and definitely get archive invalidation invalidated.

Yeah, I play with Vista but I got pissed at UAC so I turned it off. The archives I'm talking about is Bethesda archives. or something like that. i actually found out how to fix that to get normal folders. Thing is that every mod I place in there only get half-done. Like that hair mod. Got all the meshes but none of the textures even though I put them in the right place. Some mods don't work at all. Never had any of these problems with Dragon Age, KOTOR or Mass Effect. Just saying.
