Aegrus
I want to upgrade my GPU to a better Nvidia card than my current 560 sc. At first I thought I'd just buy a 770 and be done with it, that card easily has enough power to max games at 1080p and 40 fps. However, part of me wants to wait for the release of the higher tier 800 series GPUs, as those will support DX 12. I know 700 series cards can run DX 12, but I've heard that they will lack some of its features. Right now, I'm trying to find out if it would be better to buy a 770 now, (I've already waited quite a long time, my 560 is taking a beating in new games), or if the select DX 12 features the 700 series will lack warrant waiting for the 800 series. No suggestions of AMD cards, lets not turn this into an AMD versus Nvidia war, please. Phys-x on my GPU and cuda acceleration are vital for me, not everyone may share those values, but it's important to me. So, anyone have any clue if waiting for the 800 series and full DX 12 is worth it? Edited July 27, 2014 by Aegrus
