need mod advice

i dont ordinarily post in the nexus forums for any reason (i dont dislike it, i just usually never have any business here) but i figured i may as well try to this time, i need some advice regarding Fallout New Vegas and its mod content.

i really want to go play new vegas again but i've already done so like 10 times already and i find the whole thing to be incredibly boring now, i was hoping with the right selection of mods it would give me a fresh outlook and breathe new life into the game but no matter which mod choices i go for it never seems to make the game even half as much fun as it was on the first playthrough, certain mods which add significant amounts of new content made it interesting for a time but only for maybe one or two hours before its all become old hat, half the interesting content for most mods you dont really get to jump into for awhile anyways, take for example weapon mods.

ill go through the new vegas nexus and find some weapons that look really cool, so i start a new game and either the weapons are already waiting for me in doc mitchells house so i no longer have to work hard to scrape and save for it like i did for certain fancy guns in my very first new vegas playthrough, even then gameplay balance is changed significantly by the fact that two seconds in you've already got pimp M-16's, AK's, shotguns and more (weapon types which you usually wouldnt see in a normal playthrough till level 12-15 at least), you could just refuse to pick the weapons up but since alot of these mods dont add the weapons to leveled lists or vendors then odds are good the one in mitches house is the only copy, theres never a giant message that says "BALANCED FOR THESE LEVELS" so you have no idea when grabbing one of those mod guns is too soon and the game becomes unenjoyable or too late and its basically garbage now, if the guns ARE for sale somewhere you could just sell it and buy it back later at an appropriate time but now you are drowning in caps, and in the early game there just isnt all that much to buy (but it was balanced out by the fact that the prices on everything early game seem much higher and caps are hard to come by in large quantities since none of the vendors have much money for buying your junk with whereas everything actually worth buying typically had an OBSCENE price tag, except all that is ruined by you now having like 12 thousand caps from selling an epic mod M-16 or whatever)

if the weapons ARENT in doc mitchells house then most of the time they're in the middle of f****** nowhere so unless you try to explore EVERY single edge of the map you'll never come across it, or if you do the weapon stopped being worth anything like 30 levels ago (oh yay, a silenced pistol....im up against endless deathclaws now so i guess ill sell this first chance), every now and then you get lucky and find mods which add guns to leveled lists and vendors so the odds of coming across it in a regular game is pretty decent but the enemies will still be using mostly lots and lots of vanilla gear, even if the mod adds hundreds of different pieces.

and thats just for WEAPON mods, armor mods are usually just put in a box somewhere and tend to either basically be god gear or have significantly worse stats then any vanilla equivalent, difficulty mods usually just turn the AI into unkillable snipers or do little more then add pointless busywork (you would think having to monitor actual caloric intakes and let stimpacks build up in your bloodstream would add alot more to the game but really it just meant carrying more food and just eating the ones with the right numbers when the time came) and most of the companion mods are essentially the same.

most companion mods are made under the assumption that the way skyrim handled companions was the best way to handle it, ergo there is a wide variety of appearances to choose from but almost are are scant more then soulless marionettes, lifeless husks who lack any ambitions, goals, opinions or personality whose sole purpose in life is to carry your stuff and bring abit of extra dps in combat (and half the time you cant even customize their equipment, want to deck your companions out like a military squad? giving each a different weapon appropriate to a wide array of potential incoming circumstances? TOO BAD! this dude comes with a gun already and you will like it, so they'll still be packing that world war one era rifle or that ghetto half built SMG in spite of the ultra pimp power armor you paired them with and the equally amazing guns you gave them, and you want a companion that actually uses melee weapons instead of fists? TROLOLO! SWORDS R 4 NUBS)

i really want to play new vegas again, but as you can see i've become a tad jaded, can anyone recommend any quality mods that can give me a fresh outlook on the game? perhaps give us a solid reminder of how amazing it was the first time around or why we came to enjoy using mods to begin with?
