disskret
Hy there! My question is quiet simple and because of that i hope somebody can answer this : I really have to know if specific elemental attacks can heal specific opponents?..I've searched everywhere for this info but couldn't find anything about it, not even in the guide of the game or in forums..It's clear that specific opponents can resist elemental attacks,(such as dragons can resist fire, I think..)but can them get healed by such attacks also?..'cause I want to make a sword that makes heat damage and extra damage against Hurlocks and Genlocks (dark brood?!)for prevention to the further game...! But it wouldn't make much sense if I attack a Hurlock with a sword that makes extra damage against him (dark brood), but gives him healthpoints back 'cause of da fire- or heat attack at the same time...I would be very thankful about an quick answer, 'cause my journey took me to Haven, and the Temple is covered in Ice, so a firesword probably would not be the badest tool, I think.. ..hope somebody can answer quick... thanks in advance!! btw : do Hurlocks(or the dark brood) resist fire- or heat damage? DarkeWolf
basically, in the toolset, you have the option for weakens nearby darkspawn, and extra damage vs darkspawn. its listed in the properties. I think the extra damage is listed under Onhit properties. no, any type of elemental damage cannot add healing to anything. They are either simply resistant to it, or immune to it. Fire is an ok weapon against many of the creatures there. As you get deep into the temple however.... there are drakes, dragonlings, and dragons. Fire no workie there  a workaround for that particular situation would be to have a mage that can do the frostweapon spell, as dragonkind are vulnerable to cold. Also at the temple, there are very little, or no darkspawn there. disskret
Yo, thanks Darkewolf!, for the rapid reply, I appreciate that!!..and thanks for da advice relating to the Temple and his creatures, although it's a li'l weird that u have opponents that resists or are imun against fire in an cold environment, I think.... it's just not typical, especially for RPG's... anyway  .... Morrigan will handle it...
DarkeWolf
disskret- no problem at all. I'm glad to help out. :smile:Tis true, one would expect to find creatures that were more cold related in that kind of area. Bioware took kind of a different approach with thier creatures tho. Oh! I forgot to mention. There is a mod called The Winter Forge- http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=122 which can allow you to make your mods to weapons IN GAME, so that you dont have to mess around with the toolset every time that you have an idea for a new weapon or armor, or want to say... outfit all your warriors with a particular type of armor or weapon.LOL I will warn you of a couple of things about that mod tho. 1) Its extremely fun and you may end up spending more time playing with it, than fighting bad guys. 2) It does give you the ability to create some OverPowered gear. So sometimes, moderation is required, not to get carried away with your bonuses :wink:3) There's a little bit of a learning curve involved with it. 4) You have to learn how to read the scrolls first, before you can use them, which costs skill points to advance the skill. I recommend using the command runscript zz_add_skills3 in the command console to get them. http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Console Enjoy, and have fun
disskret
yeah, The Winter forge mod(haven't heard of it til yet..) sounds and looks quite interesting, will keep myself busy with that betimes..! I think it's worth to spend some time on it, 'though I'm a li'l bit concerned about point 1 relating to your achievement... -cuz it could maybe happen to me  ...will tell ya when I manufactured something.. got some cool things in mind by now.. ...thnx so far DW!! DarkeWolf
no problem, glad to help out when I can  yeah, the winter forge is definitely a really fun mod to play around with. I use it a lot. Tho I will say that after getting used to relying on this mod to make my gear, I've lost interest in a LOT of the different loot that is available in the game. Unless it uses an uncommon appearance, or is needed for a quest... now I'm all like "Nah, I can make a better version of this myself." LOL And yeah, it does take up a lot more of my gametime now, playing around on the forge more than playing thru the scenarios.
