captainjamescrunch
I want to modify an existing .msh file that i have in my override directory for the base dwarf male body, but I can't seem to find any plugin or tutorial on how to import it into a modeling program. Can anyone show me tutorial or plugin to help me import the mesh into a modeling environment? (I have 3dsmax,Maya and Zbrush) Any help is much appreciated
DarkeWolf
http://social.bioware.com/project/2336/ 3dsmax importer http://social.bioware.com/project/563/ 3dsmax exporter those are plugin scripts which allow max to interpret the .msh files http://social.bioware.com/project/1743/ some items that they have uploaded so that you can make your items to scale. Basically reference materials.
DarkeWolf
sorry to doublepost. I forgot a couple of links and want to make sure that the OP gets the email notification. DAtool can be used to extract many of the vanilla game textures and meshes. http://social.bioware.com/browse_bw_projects.php?page_num=1&project_search=datool&view=0&project_category_id=&sort=1 You'll also need a 2da editor (which I know nothing about,, sorry) http://social.bioware.com/project/119/ yo'll have to create a 2da file in order for the game to recognize the new mesh. Unfortunately, thats as much info as I can provide. you may try hunting thru other posts tho, I'm sure that its been covered before. Oh, and I'd meant to ask.... what version of zbrush are you using with which OS? I've got the 2010 but can't get it to work with vista
