The fighting started as booth where in the series and had exactly opposite Character traits. The one Rei Ayanamy symbolizes the moon, the other Asuka Langley Soryu the sun. I would rather go with the moon as with the sun if i had to chose so I'm admitting open that I'm a fan of Rei Ayanami. and in self reflecting as I be I know why I'm more like the main character of the story Shinji Ikari. Cause of the great identification traits of characters and innovative story telling on a high level of the series it was such a great success.
