wz_inventory screen freeze

i have been using wz_inventory, great mod. suddenly, when i switch from map view to weapon inventory view, my computer locks up and i must restart with the power button. i would dump some items, but as you can guess, this is impossible. when i tried to disable the mod as per instructions, i got the same freeze. is there a way to restore the original menus without reinstalling the whole thing YET AGAIN (all i do these days is reinstall oblivion, no fun...)? or can someone recommend a good inventory mod i could overwrite this one with? thanks in advance.

You could try one of the darnified UI mods (search for Darn). I use the Darnified Dark UI and always have. love it.

 

Alternately I thinnk that the BTmod is still around somewhere. Most other UI mods are descended from that in some way or another, from what I understand. I know its been around for years anyways.

thanks! i will try them both if i have to. for a temporary fix i started a new game and just keep dumping everything i get into containers asap. i'm only on level five, and have kept my kleptomania in check, but already it is lagging. playing Oblivion is like driving an old car, so much maintenance! but it is worth it. thanks again for the help...

Whenever I use the keychain mod the same thing happens to my inventory screen. When I disable it-it runs normally again. If you have the keychain mod try disabling it and see if that helps.
