dukeface2010
Due to my terrible graphics card, I play on the lowest video settings. This is fine, with one exception: eyes, all of which are completely black (even that isn't really a problem outside the conversation screens). Putting the settings up fixes this, but basically makes the game unplayable for my computer. Essesntially, I'd like to know if it's possible to "fine tune" which textures/details are rendered on the different video settings.
DarkeWolf
unfortunately, the settings.ini files for this particular game, are extremely limited in their settings. there's some other things that you could do to try to compensate tho. You can turn off gore to help reduce the strain on your card. You can also turn off the floating damage numbers, and text that shows what toons around you are saying. You'd be surprised at how much vram that cuts down on. another recommendation that I can make, is to keep an eye out on microcenter.com bestbuy.com and newegg.com. all three sites (especially microcenter.com) run a lot of specials on computer gear. I got my vid card upgrade at microcenter for about 40 bucks + tax Tho if you live outside the US, I dont know about the shipping.

I was hoping that the numbers in the settings.ini were indexed to something that was changeable, but I suppose not. I'll keep those in mind though. There isn't really anything that can done about the card itself. I'm using a laptop (*gasp* *horror*); as I understand it, there's no way to change the card without replacing the entire mother board. I can't really justify that for a fairly new computer that just happens to have a terrible graphics card.
DarkeWolf
Ugh, lappy. Yeah, I was thinking about if you had a laptop when I posted, but forgot to mention it.One thing that you can try doing to help, is to run your laptop from a wall socket, and turn off any power management features. Power management will DECREASE system performance and output in an effort to cut down the amount of electricity that the computer uses.Yeah, usually on laptops, its because of space limitations inside the machine that they usually have an integrated vid chipset. The way the internal settings are set up, as far as the video goes, it really is pretty limited. its got a short list (video) of options that can either be turned on, or turned off. Those same settings are the ones that are displayed in the options menu. Anything else, would probably mean having to mod the core. Which, could be a violation of the game's TOS, and violate copyrights  One thing I dont understand, is why they chose this as a lesser graphics option. I mean, the eye colors are NOT handled by higher or lower res graphics. All they are, is tint (color) files. Sorry that I didnt have better news for you on this one
