RAZORFACEJONES
Hello,I played Oblivion for a long time on a PS3 but wanted to expirence the large modding community availible for the game and purchased a copy for my laptop. My laptop wasn't totally up to snuff but I was expecting that and began running the mods "Streamline v3.0 Open Beta 4" and "Oldblivion". Well that drastically improved performance and I still had pretty good graphics too, but water suddenly became completely invisible and whenever I was near water a good chunk of my screen would have an ugly gray patch on it. Is this because of my graphics card, or something to do with the mods?My computer is an HP Pavilion ze2000. Moblie AMD SempronProcessor 2800+795MHz, 1.12 GB Ram Graphics card is an ATI Radeon Xpress 200m Heres a screenshot of it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v351/Fetachiniluvsdionsaurs/Wierdwatergraycrap.jpg Thanks for any help!! Jenrai
Oldblivion, as I understand it (and I'll be the first to admit thats probably not all that well) is essentially a huge downgrade of Oblivions engine and particularly, graphics, to enable it to run on older hardware. Therefore there are a heckuva lotta mods that ain't gonna run too well with it. Especially those that change or enhance the general visuals of the game.So I would have to say yep, your problem is mod related, though I can't give you much more specific info than that.If you post your load order someone around here may be able to help, but I think the Oldblivion home page & forums might be a better place to start. Sorry I couldn't be of more use matey.Jenrai
RAZORFACEJONES
Hey, thanks for the help man! I just simply booted Oblivion without Oldblivion but running Streamline and it works pretty tolerable. Thanks again!
