Hazencruz
For some mods, when I extract files from the ZIP you originally download, i hear a "DING" [like an error] sound, but no error message appears. I look at my extracted files, and they are smaller than the ZIP file has them sized for. Sometimes they are even missing data! So tell me, oh wise ones, what do you guys use to extract files from ZIPs?
Pronam
Are you using Winrar? That one always gives me that sound...its simply signaling me the unpacking is done lol. Most people complain about the message, but I still prefer Winrar. But your thing seems different. Have you tried another program like 7zip? (It's even on nexus IIRC, />/ Yes it is)

I'm using Vista Home Premium 64-bit, if that helps...

Pronam
No I don't, but you should use the appropriate version . Even though most common (32 bit) programs should respond correctly with a 64 system, if there is another version out it's always worth to check out. This may be the source of these problems as well...
bben46
I recommend 7-zip it is absolutely FREE, unlike winrar which is shareware (try before you buy) and hits you with a nag screen asking you to pay each time you use it. It can handle just about any compressed file you throw at it. including rar and zip as well as its own 7z format. And it is available right here on TheNexus.http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15579 Or at 7-zip.org which has the latest version, including 64 bit versions. http://www.7-zip.org/
jaysus
i used winzip until winrar came out, used winrar till last week or so when i realized that the new version is a 30day trial instead of a shareware with the confirmation screen which was annoying but i could live with that, hence now im on the 7zip bandwaggon too :) ...its not that bad actually.
