marion78
Hi guys, I'm playing a female Elf mage and I'm right before the Landsmeet. I would like that Alistair accepts me as his queen but when it comes to that point he refuses and later breaks up our relationship. My approval is 100, also we're in love. But I think I didn't pick the right answers during his personal quest. In conclusion, I failed to harden Alistair. Somewhere in the Bioware Social Network I read that you can harden him afterwards by using the DA Toolset. I haven't got the Toolset and unfortunately, I cannot install it on my PC. Also my brother, a computer scientist, tried to install it but there seems to be trouble using this SQL database on my PC. I love this game very much and I already bought Awakening to play it later. But I want to finish the main quest first with me as queen. I would be grateful if somebody would be kind enough to edit one of my savegames to harden Alistair to accept me as his queen. Marion :)
hdhd
Put the harden.ncs file in packages\core\override, open the console, and type in runscript harden. If you did it all right a message should be displayed. Ambrya
It doesn't matter if you have hardened Alistair or not, unless you are a human noble, he is NOT going to marry you. However, if you have hardened him, you can talk him into keeping you on as his mistress by choosing the "No on can tell the King what to do" dialogue option. marion78
@hdhd:Thank you so much! I will try this! @Ambrya:Are you sure? You mean he would only marry me if I were human and not elf???
Ambrya
Yep. Sorry, but without a mod, elves can't be queen, nor mages. However, if what you are after is his cameo scene in Awakening, the scene for a mistress is pretty much the same as the scene for the queen, minus a couple times where he refers to you as his wife. DarkeWolf
yep, its the fact that you're an elf that is preventing him from marrying you. Human noble (NOT mage) is the only class that can be acceptable in the vanilla game as a candidate for royalty. You can however, fix this. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=74 I shall be queen. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13 metagame items- has the machiovalian tomb, which can set the hardened flag on any eligible character, (has to be at 100 love) you just give it to them as a gift.
