TodaY
You don't mean that you actually put the texture folder in the texture folder right?By leaving intact I mean dont take anything from the meshes folder and put is somewhere else or things like thatYou're supposed to simply copy everything into your data folder, and nothing elseReading from your comment you put everything in a different folder....Your data folder is supposed to look like this:BSA'sESM & ESPtexture foldermeshes folderother folders So not in a different folder... God you're confusing me
HisanTakura
Yes, my Data folder looks like that. When I open my Meshes folder, it looks something like Bethesda Softworks>Oblivion>Data>Meshes Then I select a folder that has the meshes for the mods I've downloaded. Oblivion>Data>Meshes>Tyrael meshes>Armor>Tyrael Armor and there it has the .NIF files for the mesh, those are supposed to be there, right?

Have you tried using Oblivion Mod Manager [OBMM] to install and manage the mod?If you download OBMM you can post your load order too, maybe that's the issue? If this is a popular mod, most likely BOSS will be able to set your load order straight, too. All of these tools are must-haves for the contemporary Mod player. Just some helpful hints. Try those and get back to us. =]
Hazencruz
Also, you might want to make an Archive Invalidation file [some mods require one]. Just create a new .txt file and name it "ArchiveInvalidation" and put this in it meshes/ \stextures/ \ssound/ \s What mod is this you're trying to use btw? HisanTakura
I'm trying to use Capes and Cloaks by someone1074, Tyrael Armor by zertual, and Black Luster Weapons and Armor for Exnems Body by hide. What's weird though is that all the items in the mods result in a yellow ! except for Tyrael's Body Armor item; it just makes my body disappear. And I've installed OBMM and BOSS now, but my meshes still aren't appearing. But there's a folder in obmm that's titled mods, should I put them in there? Because the folder says that it's empty. Hopefully I'm close to fixing this solution.
TodaY
If there's a folder in your obmm folder called mods, and it's empty, you simply have 0 mods, or didn't create them through obmm. You did create and omod out of every mod, right?http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Oblivion_Mods_FAQ#Creating_OMODsfollow this guide if you don't know how to create omod's.If you did create omods, there's something wrong. And I mean wrong. Which system are you running (vista?), and where did you install Oblivion?
bben46
I think your problem is you are trying to make it too complicated. When you have your zipped file (no matter if .zip, .rar or .7z) Do NOT take the various parts (meshes textures etc) out of it separately. (this is what is meant by leaving the file structure intact) Unzip ALL of it directly into the \data folder. If you get a message warning about overwriting always answer Yes, as it does not overwrite anything. It actually appends (adds to what is there) instead of overwriting. If there is a folder you do not have, it will automatically create it and put the proper files in it (meshes, textures etc)- usually in directories with the mods name - Oblivion\data\meshes\modname\meshes from mod name. Or, learn to use OMODs. Here is the best tutorial for using OBMM, with a very good explanation of how to turn any mod into an OMOD. And why you would want to do that.http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Oblivion_Mods_FAQ
