avhill
Ok, so I know how to make NPCs, and I know how to and have set up my companion in the GECK, but I think I messed up with the dialogue topics. So for all the follower topics I added a response like I should, and when it came to the actual thing the Courier says, for example "I think we should travel together" , I changed that to "Come with me. Maybe you'll get shot." . But now, that's what that option is for every companion, including the vanilla ones. So if I go to Veronica and want her to travel with me, the option is "Come with me, hopefully you'll get shot." I was wondering if there was a way to change all the vanilla companions back to their regular companion lines, but still keep my modded companion with the dialogue options for the Courier as well. Because my voice actor already voiced all his lines and sent them to me and I would feel bad making him have to do a whole set of new lines because I couldn't fix a problem. I really appreciate any help, thanks. Edited August 1, 2014 by avhill
GenericDomain
Basically, you should avoid changing the 'Topic Text' section if you're adding dialogue to an vanilla topic. If you're changing what the courier says in a vanilla dialogue topic, you should enter your custom dialogue option in the 'prompt' section under 'info details'.To revert the 'Topic Text' sections you've changed back to vanilla, you'll have to open up FNVedit and overwrite the 'full name' entries that you've changed. That just involves dragging and dropping the vanilla 'full name' entries onto the ones that you've changed. After that, I'd use FNVedit to clean your esp of dirty edits.Sorry, this is quite a quick response. I'll check back later to see if you need any more help.
