A More Realistic Fauna Mod?

Well, I'm guessing we could dispense with some of the more exotic stuff like the giraffes, since they're not really native to the Mojave. Nor is there an abundance of tall trees to give them a survival niche.

 

It should be possible though to fit SOME realistic animals onto existing skeletons. A wolf is really just a dog, for example. No, really, they're the same species, since they can produce fertile offspring.

I'd take the realistic animals in a heartbeat. I think I included giraffes as a "zoo release." But realistic current animals I'd take. Although.....would someone make a camel? Camel's could survive in the West, in fact their are urban legends of just that.

I'm making a horse, pony, and donkey. Never seen a camel anywhere in Arizona, I don't spend much time in Nevada though...

Mind you, speaking of animals native to the Mojave, there's one I'd really want to see: a roadrunner. I mean, come on, all those coyotes are just asking for it ;)

Well, mind you, I never learned to rig anything. But speaking hypothetically and out of the rear end, the Gecko run animation seems kinda like it would fit.
