Peachless
((Pheer not, i'm no obbsessive role player... i wrote this character along time ago... and i had to meet a required lenghth... so.. it's kinda lenghty... er... yeh) Name: Berenon the Agile Race: Human (Elvish Ancestry) Age: 30 Gender: Male Appearance: A fair skinned, attractive young man, he bears the shoulder-length, golden locks of his Elvish grandfather. His lightly toned body and deep-blue eyes would make him a perfect picture of good looks, if he had not also inherited his grandfather’s Elvish height, leaving him stunted at just over 5 feet. History: Born and raised in a small, secluded village in the Northern Wilderness, he knew only it’s’ inhabitants until he fled at age 19. Though his mother told him of his Elvish blood at an early age, he found no comfort in his heritage. Bullied and tormented because of his height and “prissy” looks, he grew up largely alone, relying on himself for entertainment and protection. His father died of plague shortly after he was conceived, and left Berenon’s family with very little. Determined to help his loving mother, he turned up in local taverns and pubs as early as age 7, betting away what gold he could find in card games. Thought at first he was shunned and laughed at by the gamblers, they were soon stunned by his constant winnings. Luck, it seemed, weather it was in luck of the draw, or in the odd ace up his sleeve, was this boy’s only friend. Gambling led Berenon to shadier dealing, and he soon found himself picking pockets and committing piety theft, quickly learning how to go unnoticed. As he grew older, and his differences grew more pronounced, his peers only grew to dislike him more, but though they were constantly on his tail, they could never seem to catch up with him entirely. Berenon quickly discovered that he had a strange knack for acrobatics, and an incredible amount of agility for dodging punches, diving tackles, and even evading the odd dagger or two. By his 19th birthday, his mother had died of old age, and, it seemed, her reputation had died with her. Instead of a novelty at the local pubs, Berenon became known first as a shady dealer, then as an outright cheater. When the pup’s bartender lost two months pay to him in a single game of poker, the men of the town convinced the village council to brand him an outlaw, and have him chased out of town. Gladly leaving his village behind him (after making a stop in the village guard supply room), Berenon moved on into the world, leaving most of his belongings, and all of his reputation, behind him. Personality: Berenon became a very outgoing person in his years after fleeing the village of his birth. Free of any reputation, he intended to “recreate” himself, moving from town to town, making friends, and occasionally playing the odd card game. He is embarrassed about his height, and hides his unique abilities well, driven by a desire to “fit in” with the people around him. He is fiercely loyal to his friends, and while he would give a beggar the shirt off his back, he would never buy a drunk a drink. Skills: Acrobatics/Agility Card Games Stealth Flexibility Security (Lockpicking, Breaking and Entering)Flute - Adequate Weapon Skills: Throwing Daggers Short Swords Armor Skills – Leather Armors (Light Powers: Uncanny Luck- Not only in card games; for example, arrows tend to miss him, and a needed key would not be unlikely to turn up at his feet. This ability works on the edge of what can be called subtle, never becoming bold enough to be unexplainable under the definition of luck, but strangely supernatural none the less. Equipment: 13 iron throwing daggers, Fine travelers clothing, travelers pack, concealed leather breastplate, iron short sword, leather hilt, money pouch (87 gold), a flute, deck of cards, cooked travelers hat (The ace of spades is stuck into the brim)
