Texture coloring problem

cryoban

Recommended Posts

Im having some trouble getting the same color in the CS and on gimp. I can set the numbers all the same, but they still dont match. Does anyone know why this is or can anyone give me a white number code for hair that would match in both? Also, even though I set the texture to a pure white, it is actually pretty dim, any idea why?

Can you change the body/mesh/texture of an ncp specifically to one that was downloaded so it only affects the one npc and not every other male/female npc in the game?

Also, my mod is now under construction, codenamed Project Titan. ETA: when it gets done. There will be a beta for it when it is at least far enough to attempt one.

The hair colors for ingame are not easy to work with since the texture itself has variations of white/gray. The color of the lighting also plays a significant factor. The CS bright light is often too bright, and turning it off makes things too dark. At best, you can just hope to get close.

For your other question, body meshes themselves are shared by every NPC of the same gender. Body textures can be varied by both race and gender. To get anything differently, you would need to define a set of clothing or armor which is linked to a body mesh with a similar texturing style to the installed body mod, and then force the NPC to always be wearing that set of equipment.
