Waters Of Life/Picking Up The Trail

The first task listed for me in Picking up the Trail is "Escort Dr. Li to the Citadel". The problem is that after the waters of life I walked around the Citadel, chilled with some of the people there. After that I went off, did the entire Operation: Anchorage, among other things. Now, when I go back into the Citadel, I walk forward like, 3 steps and then I can't move, as If a conversation was going to happen between two other characters. Instead, I stay frozen forever, watching as Dr. Li walks past Lyons straight into the Citadel. I don't know whats going on, if anyone has any insight, please help!

I think you might have gone and done too much and the game has "moved on" or something like that.

 

These possibilities exist ...................

 

1) there might exist a quest code which might just complete the quest for you and let you continue.

 

(I have already used a quest code that enabled me to get the Tenpenny key to the player home there, as if I'd completed the "blowing up of Megaton" without actually blowing it up,

so there's a possibility that a quest code for your quest might exist).

 

OR

 

2) the horrible reality is that you might have to go to a save around the time you were escorting them to the Citadel and start all over again and lose all your hard work.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried a bunch of different quest console commands. Not alot of luck there. However I managed to look up some things about the quest and I simple entered "enableplayercommands" (or something like that) and then went on to the next part of the quest. The only problem is that under picking up the trail it still says "Escort Dr. Li to the Citadel" even though this is a Waters Of Life task, I think, and she is now inside the Citadel. Time will tell, once I reach the end of the quest, if that task is still there I may be in some trouble.
