Slof's Horses (!) causing crashes during fast travel

Dear all,

 

Yup, it's me again. To keep this short & sweet: Slof's Horses Retextures is causing my game to crash whenever I try to travel fast via the map.

A few details: It started after I picked Ruin up in his camp. (With Viconia and Stoker present) But why would a Texture Mod cause this? I narrowed it down by disabling everything and enabling until I found the problem. If you could take a look at my Modlist and/or give me pointers or tips how to make it work, I'd be very grateful.

My game is doing it too, but its only since I added the Slofs horses mod and the one that makes shadowmare look cooler, but i took it all out and its still happening. on my game all I see is my elven armor and shadowmare's head, same thing with my regular horse on another file. all i see is a neon purple head and floating armor, and my game crashes soon after that :"(

I am far from being an expert but I have read from some experts advice, as I recall. that it sounds like you may have missing textures and /or meshes. Also they may have been placed in the wrong folders ..sub-folders. Try looking at the folder structure from the zip file you downloaded to get some clues and compare to you Oblivion Data folder is my suggestion.

 

The mod's script is looking for the files and can't find it thus CTD, and missing texture /mesh or discolor is of course missing some textures /meshes. Just guessing also that fast traveling just triggers it sooner because missing file is needed in your near vicinity or cell. It happened to me a lot way back, and what I did was de-active and reactivate suspected mods in OBMM to fix. Also try load orders, switch them around a bit. I only use OBMM, not knowledgeable about BOSS or Wyre Bash.
