Hello everyone,

I downloaded OBMM and newest obse nad a couple of omod plugins.

When i tried to put them in the mod folder or activate it says : "Cannot find omod configuration data"

or "Cannot find omod central directory" - What is going on?

It happens always ,only esp plugins works well - could anyone help me?

The OBMM works well it is installed in Oblivion directory .

I have one metod to put the omod to work but isnt quite normal - i heard it from the plugin creator : create a new omod form esp, well strange.

Are you trying to make an omod file or are you installing an already made one?

1 when making an omod leave it in the zip, rar,or 7z file hit the create button in obmm and fill in the details then hit create, then activate and make sure to click on the Esp files if there are any.

2 if there are already is an omod file then hit the load button on obmm, then activate and make sure to click on the Esp files if there are any.

3 sometimes mods come in zip,rar,or7z files but already have omod information just hit the create button, and it will say this mod already has omod info do you want to use it click yes, then activate and make sure to click on the Esp files if there are any

Just open the zip file before installing to make sure what it has and doesnt have, because it might have and omod ready in the zip file. If it already is an omod file just hit the load button on obmm, I hope this helps.

OMODs do not install like non-OMOD files. They go in a special folder that is actually outside of the data folder. In the Oblivion folder you should see an OBMM folder, and inside of it is a Mods folder. That is where the actual OMOD files go. If you are running OBMM, when you 'create an OMOD' and follow the create OMOD directions it should place them there automatically.

Then in OBMM, you should see all of the OMODS you have installed on the right side with a green block in front. To actually install the OMOD into the game, click on that green block. It will install, and the green block will turn Blue, indicating the mod is installed. Now look on the left side and if the mod has an esp (most do) you will see the esp in the mod list where you can enable or disable it.

If you need to remove the mod, click on the blue block in front of the OMOD and it will completely remove the mod and all parts. The block will turn green indicating it is ready to install again when you want it.

The manual for OBMM is in the program, look on the far right side, and click on 'Help'

Here is a link to a tutorial:

It might sound complicated, but once you have done one it will be simple.

Yes i know it is simple , but for some reason it not works.

Have you heard about this errors that i mentioned above?

It cant load the omod file because of this error , even placing them in the obmm directory diddnt solved the problem, the program place them in the corrupt folder...

They arent zip just omod , esp works well why people are using omods?

Why creating a new one if they are new downloaded from the website lol.

I'm loosing my mind and time - double clicking on omods or loading them with OBMM isnt working!!

It is so easy that error should be impossible but exist.

I should email to the obmm creator or forum - give me the link.

I'm lossing only the time and nerves on it .

Could you tell me how fix these errors and make the omod works on OBMM?

And thanks for the understanding and the quickest answer as possible ,i appreciate that.

Your site is full of mods - great job ;D

From your post you are putting OMODs in the Oblivion\data folder, and not the Oblivion\OBMM\mods folder. You can place them there manually - IF they are already in OMOD format - end with .omod - and they will show up in the OBMM when you start it.

If they are in a compressed format such as .7z or .rar or .zip, then you must create the OMOD from the compressed file using OBMM. When you create it in OBMM, it will automatically place the .omod created in the proper place.

The first time you need to completely uninstall a Non-OMOD you will understand why.

That error is saying the file is missing its configuration data. have you tried any other OMOD files. Most mods that are in OMOD format also have the same mod in non-OMOD format also. What mod is it - I will take a look at it.

So putting them manually make errors ,clicking on them to...i have run of ideas

It is lot of mods from tesnexus and they are only in OMOD - no zip and whatever.

But when i repacked the file using OBMM it HAS it own omod configuration folder!!

It doesnt matter - many of them dont work , it seems that i;m doing something wrong.

This is not a minor mod site....it is well known.

The links will not helped me , it is a general problem with them but i dont know why and what.

I should post on the OBMM forum to figure it out once for all - it takes lot of my time.

So as i said the esp works but changing the omod to esp isnt possible in the other way yes...

Instaling the omods it so easy that findong an error is almost impossible but poo happens ;d

I would like to know why double-clicking on them dont install the omod instead the errors occurs...

Putting them manually makes the same thing and loading them with the OBMM is impossible - so no way to activate them.
