emlnxrh
trap deadlier the trap mod all you have to do with this mod is extract the esp to Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\ and activate the esp in obmm or the oblivion launcher itself. realistic fire The fire one is a little more complicated you have to pick the one you want and place it in Oblivion / Data / Textures / fire / fireflameparticle overwriting when asked to do so. operation optimisation double click the executable file to install. fast exit extract to \Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\ horse health extract to \Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\ and then activate the esp through obmm or the oblivion launcher. bben46
I looked at deadlier traps. it is NOT an OMOD. it is a 7-zip compressed file. It unzips into an esp and NOT an OMOD. You must extract it. The easiest way is to use 7-zip, a FREE program available herehttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15579 Install the 7-zip, it is a self extracting file. (just click on the 7-zip) It will install itself. Then it should allow you to extract any compressed file - .7z, .rar, .zip and many others. The easiest way is to extract the file directly into the oblivion\data folder. However, a better way is to make a separate folder just for downloaded files, then make a separate sub folder inside it for each mod you download. then unzip from there into the data folder. jakub88
As i said it isnt the zip believe me - it is omod for sure like many others. Winrar will extract the omod ?! first time i heard about that , i should try ...
emlnxrh
Use 7zip for the mods in zip,rar,7z! The operation optimization is a .exe file double click and install it, the readme for the mod is wrong it says to extract it but it is an executable installer file. As i said it isnt the zip believe me - it is omod for sure like many others. Winrar will extract the omod ?! first time i heard about that , i should try ... bben46
If you have winrar is should work. Winrar is a shareware and not free. 7-zip is FREE - no nag screen asking for money when you use it. Again, the link you gave for deadly traps is NOT an OMOD. it is a compressed esp file. OMODs always end with .omod. Deadly traps downloads as DeadlyTraps-27964.7z Which ends in .7z so it is a 7-zip compressed file. When uncompressed (using 7-zip or winrar) it is name is DeadlyTrap.esp - an esp file. The 2, 3, or 4 characters after the dot (period) in a file name tell windows (and you) what kind of file it is. That is how windows knows what to do with the file. .esp is a Oblivion esp file.esm is an Oblivion master file (must be loaded before any esp files).rar is a winrar compressed file.7z is a 7-zip compressed file.zip is a winzip compressed file.omod is a OBMM OMOD file.exe is a windows executable file There are hundreds of these file extensions, windows must be told how to handle each one. Usually a program such as 7-zip passes the information on what it is and what to do with it when it is installed into windows. Mods are not installed into windows, but into Oblivion - which knows what to do with the .esp and .esm files. (but not the .7z and .rar files) So they must be converted from the compressed format such as 7z into a file that Oblivion does know, such as .esp IF it was an OMOD it would be DeadlyTrap.omod
