WickedCat
Is there any mod that like Skyrim Flora Overhaul but with a decent LOD ? I have no problem with the textures itself. I'm having troubles with Skyrim Flora Overhaul LOD.Its LOD is too poorly written, the trees in the far distance look too bad. See screenshots: http://s24.postimg.o...21_19_54_56.jpg And here 2 more: Ugly distant trees:http://s28.postimg.o...21_27_32_84.jpg No shadows on distant trees:http://s28.postimg.o...21_27_40_61.jpg I'm using an Real Vision ENB and have tweaked my inis already.Once I remove Skyrim Flora Overhaul, the distant trees look a bit better, they have a tree shape at least. Valkasha
No because no GPU would be able to handle the lack of object fade. I already explained this to you in your previous thread, what is so difficult to understand? Edited August 4, 2014 by Valkasha

I already explained this to you in your previous thread, what is so difficult to understand? You misunderstood the purpose of this topic. I am looking for a flora/tree mod better than Skyrim Flora Overhaul. And it's still possible to enhance the shape of the trees in the very far distance, see below: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55921/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D55921%26preview%3D&pUp=1 Edited August 4, 2014 by WickedCat
Valkasha
I already told you, you can alter the shape a bit but you can't do what you want which is well shaded high quality trees at distance. SFO is currently about as good as it's going to get and it certainly is the best mod for plant life out there right now. WickedCat
I never said I wanted to reach HQ trees at distances.Well shaded, yes, which is the case on the screens in this page I linked beforehttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55921/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D55921%26preview%3D&pUp=1 Though I tried from a fresh install I can't seem to do so. Valkasha
That mod doesn't affect the shadows of distant trees at all (look at the comparison shots) If you take a distant screen shot similar to the ones on that mod page I doubt you'll see much of a difference. spookymunky
I spent quite a while editing the SFO v189 tree LODs for my current install a while back thinking I was onto a winner hehe, so much so that I had the audacity to pm vurt, something I'm still embarrassed about to this day :D. The problem is lighting / weather mods (and possibly enb?, I forget) etc change the way trees look without being able to adjust the LODs. The only way around it in my mind would possibly be multiple LOD files that could be swapped out depending on the time of day, weather etc. As far as I know there isn't something that does this ?... and I have no idea how to do it myself :/. As for my LOD editing experiment heh, with the right weather and time of day each tree can be spot on and skyrim will look amazing, at other times/conditions it can be as bad as the pics you posted. I'v have had to put up with that and teach my brain to stop being so OCD and ignore the ones that don't look right . So yeah, might there be a mod better than sfo ?.. maybe, depends on your tastes (I can't think on any tbh).. will it have a LOD that looks perfect for your install at all times ?.. I can't really see it.. Edit: I'm not saying I think vurts LODs couldn't be improved.. I'm still on 189 since I much prefer the texture I eventually ended up with for my particular install and cba doing it again hehe, or that there won't be a mod with better LODs that might fit in better for you, just that I don't think there will be one where the LODs will look spot on at every time of day in any weather unless someone comes up with a new way of handling them.
